About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of vite.in and its subdomains. By creating an event, RSVPing, signing in, or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. They apply alongside the privacy policy.

What the service does

vite.in is a platform for creating event invitations, sharing them with guests, and collecting RSVPs. Core functionality is free. Optional premium features (custom URL slug, removal of vite.in branding, password protection, named plus-ones, save-the-date emails) are available as a one-time per-event purchase.

Account creation

You can create events without an account — a magic link delivered to your email lets you manage them. Optionally you can create an account (magic-link sign-in, no password by default). One account per natural person. You're responsible for keeping your email inbox secure, since the magic link is the recovery mechanism.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use vite.in to:

• Distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the operator's (Switzerland / Estonia).
• Send unsolicited bulk email or other unsolicited communications.
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate other people.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to bypass our access controls, rate limits, or other technical protections.
• Resell or sub-license the service without prior written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations. Repeated or material violations may forfeit any remaining paid-event entitlements.

Premium features and pricing

Premium features are a one-time purchase per event in the currency you select at checkout. Pricing is shown on the pricing page. Prices are anchored per currency (e.g. €5 = $5 = CHF 5) rather than FX-converted. Payment is processed by Stripe; we receive only the confirmation, never your card data. Premium activates immediately on successful payment and applies for the lifetime of that specific event.

Refunds

You can request a no-questions refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as no reminder emails have been sent to your guests. After reminders have been sent, the service has been substantially used and refunds are no longer available. Request refunds at hello@vite.in with the event link and the email used at checkout.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account from /account/settings; this starts a 30-day grace period before the hard delete. Anonymously-created events you don't delete continue to exist until their natural expiry. We can terminate your access if you violate these terms or if the service must be wound down — we'll give 30 days notice for the latter.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including Swiss Code of Obligations Art. 100 and EU consumer protections), the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of vite.in. Direct damages caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct remain reserved. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights you have under EU law.

Changes to these terms

Material changes are announced in-product at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can delete your account before the effective date.

Governing law + venue

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Venue is the courts at the operator's seat. After the Estonia OÜ becomes the controller, this section will be updated; existing customers will be notified.
